Front Office & Guest Services (Hospitality & Tourism)

  1. Be able to perform all jobs within the Front Office department.
  2. Have knowledge of all job descriptions relating to each function within the department.
  3. Keep close supervision of activities in the Front Office counter especially during peak days and supervise the sale of the rooms in order to maximize the revenue and room sales.
  4. Be able to respond to guest complaints and problems pertaining to front office authority.
  5. Authorize room charges.
  6. Maintain good communication and support with all departments in the hotel.
  7. Be aware of faulty telephone lines and make a follow-up accordingly.
  8. Conduct spot checks on the cashier's cash float and report for any unaccountable shortage or excess.
  9. Conduct physical room checks when discrepancies arise.
  10. Maintain discipline of all the Front Office staff to enhance a healthy staff relationship through fair and balanced actions.
  11. Know all safety and emergency procedures and how to act on them.
  12. Handle fam trips by coordinating with the Marketing Communication Manager and sales personnel.
  13. Room blocking and room inspections for VIP guests and receiving the VIPs.
  14. Prepare and submit department monthly report by the end of the month.
  15. Perform any other duties or assignments as directed by the management.
