EHS Specialist

**Responsibilities**:

- Environment Health and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Inspects the facility & production activities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develops environment, health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Facilities and equipment test in accordance with local related regulations.
- Take part in plant facility maintain, modification and refurbishment.
- Performs incident investigations and corrective action process
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Masters degree desirable.
- Required minimum 5 years of related working experience.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English. Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations related to the environment and workplace health and safety.
- Working knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001 is an advantage.
- Good relationship with local government and familiar with local EHS rules.
