Oxydata Software seeks a seasoned professional to lead the development of its data platform, driving innovation and growth.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage our data platform, ensuring its stability, scalability, and efficiency. As a Data Platform Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth through data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Management: Own the technical aspects of the data platform, working closely with application, architecture, and delivery teams.
  • Innovation and Modernization: Drive the innovation and modernization of IT core infrastructure performance, maintenance, support, and capacity planning.
  • Technical Leadership: Take end-to-end ownership of multiple big data and database platform technologies, orchestrations tooling, and runtimes.
  • Team Development: Train, guide, and grow other team members on a continuous basis to ensure sustainable resource planning.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Lead data-driven decision making processes, defining KPIs and metrics to measure Big Data Storage Platform performance, team performance, and evolving metrics on an ongoing basis.
  • Roadmap and Strategy: Develop and execute technology/product roadmap with top-quality execution and clear SLA.
  • IT Core Infrastructure: Ensure that IT core infrastructure services are aligned with evolving needs and capabilities, capacity, and are future-fit (cloud/on-premises technologies best suited for the bank).
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders on platform strategy with the banks internal technology teams and manage vendors for platform upgrades and maintenance.
  • Effective Maintenance: Ensure effective platform maintenance, including performance tuning and storage optimization opportunities.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory for all environments across all platforms to ensure effective utilization of platform resources.

Requirements:

  • IT Service Management Frameworks: Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and the management of IT services.
  • Information Security Practices: Knowledge/understanding of good information security practice from a technical and management perspective.
  • ITIL Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL.
  • Infrastructure Operations Experience: 10+ years of experience as a manager of infrastructure operations teams and 8+ years of infrastructure operations experience in Teradata, Hadoop, Kubernetes, Oracle, Spark, and other big data technologies, data center management, cloud technologies, and management.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Proven track record of driving and delivering consistent and constant service improvements.
  • Relationship Building: Evidence of ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Adaptability/Flexibility: Evidence of adaptability/flexible to changing demands.
  • Influencing Ability: Evidence of ability to influence.
  • Understanding Outsourced Delivery Environment: Understanding of internal/external customer business needs.
