Job Title: Senior Network & IT Engineer

Angkasa-X is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network & IT Engineer to join our team in WP, Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement network architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  2. Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
  3. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal network uptime.
  4. Develop and maintain network security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems.
  6. Provide technical support to end-users, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  7. Maintain and support all company AV and communications equipment, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  8. Ensure prompt resolution and timely problem-solving, escalating key issues to higher levels as necessary.
  9. Perform regular preventive maintenance on IT equipment/hardware and software.
  10. Support LAN, WAN, and internet services operations, ensuring high availability and performance.
  11. Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, storage, backup, and network facilities, ensuring data integrity and security.
  12. Develop and maintain system configuration knowledge of IT equipment and hardware facilities.
  13. Participate in project implementations, coordinating technical requirements, evaluating vendors, and monitoring policies and activities.
  14. Maintain proper documentation of systems and procedures, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity.

Requirements:

  1. Network Administration, Network Engineering, and Network Design skills.
  2. Troubleshooting and Network Security skills.
  3. Experience in managing and maintaining network and IT infrastructure.
  4. Knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
  5. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network and IT issues.
  6. Understanding of network and IT security principles and best practices.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  9. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
  10. Ability to provide independent reviews, including verification of complex/high-risk changes and solutions.
  11. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Network Engineering, and/or related field.
  12. A minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience in similar capacities.
  13. Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin languages.
