About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Principal - PD Recruitment and Academy. As a key member of our marketing, distribution & partnership team, you will play a vital part in advancing our movement to create a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone.

As a Principal, you will be responsible for handling channel Recruitment, Training, and Sales Supervision of assigned channels in Partnership Distribution. This includes managing a team of Sales Trainers, developing and delivering learning and development strategy, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and align programs with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Sales Trainers to deliver high-quality training programs.
  • Develop and deliver learning and development strategy to improve sales performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and align programs with business goals.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and patterns to develop training strategies.
  • Nurture continuous professional development within the team, department, and AIA Group L&D.
  • Manage training budget to ensure cost-effective training.
  • Acquire feedback to explore and identify the most effective and innovative training, learning initiatives, and projects.
  • Manage third-party relationships and contract negotiation with external providers.
  • Work closely with all other AIA cross-functional teams to outline training improvements for growth, scalability, and sustainability of PD.
  • Leverage learning technology to modernize the learning technology landscape and processes.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and onboard top talent.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to reinforce learning in driving continuous improvement in sales performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Tertiary education from any discipline.
  • CFP/ RFP Certification will have a better advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Financial Services/ Insurance industry, specifically in Sales & Academy Training.
  • Trainers Management & Sales Target Management experience is a must.
  • Proven sales experience in Insurance products will have a definite advantage.
  • Handling Agency Business and dealing with Agencies will be an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Independent, proactive, resilient, and sales result driven.
  • Must be mobile as outstation travelling is required and frequently within Klang Valley due to logistics of our sales personnel.
  • Able to plan, develop and train using the training modules and contents together with the team.
  • Other Trainer's Certification will be a plus point, e.g. 7 Habits, NLP, and others.
