Job Summary

As a Policy Administration Manager at Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd., you will oversee a team of professionals responsible for delivering key business processes related to policy administration, renewal, and benefits payment. Your primary goal will be to ensure that these processes are executed efficiently and effectively, meeting the set benchmarks and service level agreements (SLAs) for Zurich Life and Zurich Takaful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Approve policy benefits payments or transactions up to the delegated authority limit for both individual and group servicing benefits.
  • Supervise daily batch activities related to renewal invitations, premium renewal postings, lapsations, auto endorsements, policy benefits payments, and periodic notices/statements.
  • Manage LiFT suspense and prepare monthly suspense reports.
  • Coordinate bonus and surplus declarations, including ordinary life and annuity bonus declarations for Zurich Life.
  • Review and improve processes and procedures to ensure the utilization of best practices and optimal efficiencies.
  • Produce reports and maintain records as required by management.
  • Participate in database reconciliation for Life & Family Servicing.
  • Lead the implementation of improvement projects to reduce costs or improve efficiency and production metrics.
  • Address enquiries from wealth planners or branches and handle complaints.
  • Support team members in reviewing and updating the Departmental Quality Policy (DQP), Standard Operating Procedures, and Working Instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory and compliance guidelines and internal controls.
  • Drive digital servicing and automation initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma with relevant experience.
  • At least 8 years of working experience in the Life Insurance/Takaful industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance/Family Takaful principles and practices.
