Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Clarion. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical and electronic systems within our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development:
    • Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems, including circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
    • Develop and optimize analog and digital circuits for various applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Select and integrate appropriate components, including microcontrollers, sensors, power management circuits, and communication modules.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage and oversee multiple design projects from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project milestones.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the final product.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, reviewing their work and providing mentorship to support their professional growth.
  • Prototyping and Testing:
    • Design and build prototypes to test and validate electrical and electronic systems, including debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization.
    • Develop and execute test plans to ensure product performance, reliability, and safety.
    • Analyze and interpret test data, making necessary adjustments to improve system performance.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, BOMs (Bills of Materials), layout files, and test reports.
    • Ensure all designs meet applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as CE, UL, FCC, etc.
    • Participate in design reviews, FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and risk assessments to ensure high-quality and reliable products.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending new tools, methodologies, and processes to enhance design efficiency and product performance.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
    • Collaborate with the R&D team to explore and develop new product concepts and features.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical and electronics design, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in circuit design, simulation, and analysis tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, PSpice, Cadence).
    • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, including microcontrollers, FPGAs, power supplies, and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
    • Experience with PCB layout and design for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT).
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
