Lawyer Trainee

Job Title: Junior Lawyer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer to join our team at A. Chong & Co. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to litigation matters, including conveyancing, and prepare related documents as required.
• Draft and vet agreements, including Sale & Purchase Agreements, Tenancy Agreements, and Corporate Agreements.
• Attend case management, trial, and hearing with minimal supervision.
• Attend to stamp office, land office, and related government bodies as required.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as instructed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law.
• Admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
• 1-2 years' experience in civil litigation, with conveyancing experience preferred.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (both spoken and written).
• Own transportation.
• Fees to match experience.
• Good research skills.
• Sufficient computer skills.
• Able to work independently, reliably, and responsibly.
• Diligent, work smart, and highly motivated.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and possess good drafting skills.
• Able to work as part of a team or independently.
• Willing to learn and adapt quickly.
