Senior Engineer, Facilities Engineering (Mechanical)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead our Facilities Engineering team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the technical management of our mechanical systems, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical oversight of mechanical systems, including HVAC, BMS, process utilities, and fire protection.
  2. Close monitoring of system performance to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  3. Development and implementation of maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  4. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to introduce new processes and tools.
  5. Project management, including design, procurement, and installation of mechanical systems.
  6. Supervision of contractor activities to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  7. Implementation of energy-efficient initiatives to reduce costs and enhance sustainability.
  8. Documentation and record-keeping to ensure accurate as-built drawings and documents.
  9. Autocad competency required.
  10. Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  11. Problem-solving and design skills to address technical challenges.
  12. Networking and collaboration with engineers and professionals.
  13. Effective resource allocation and time management.
  14. Development of design prototypes, if needed.
  15. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  16. Attendance at meetings and provision of updates and input.
  17. Analysis of data to write reports.
  18. Communication with staff, operations directors, and stakeholders.
  19. Handling of authority and customer audits.
  20. Development and implementation of a comprehensive maintenance program.
  21. Coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  22. Involvement in internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of action items.
  23. Coordination of external contractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental obligations.
  24. Development and implementation of facility improvement projects.
  25. Building and maintaining a strong internal team, providing training, guidance, and performance management.
  26. Implementation of energy conservation initiatives.
  27. Monitoring of energy consumption, analysis of trends, and identification of areas for improvement.
  28. Providing strong leadership and direction to the facilities team, contractors, and staff.
  29. Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring clear communication, and providing coaching and development opportunities.
  30. Staying updated with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to facility operations and maintenance.
  31. Ensuring compliance with governmental and environmental regulations.
  32. Identifying operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  33. Implementing best practices and innovative solutions to optimize facility performance and enhance operational effectiveness.
  34. Liaison with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and other relevant authorities on matters related to Facilities and EHS.
  35. Undertaking additional/ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors as needed.
