As a **Factory Manager**, you will be trusted to manage the full operation of the factory. You are responsible for the short, medium and long term strategy planning for the department operations. You will have the opportunity to be involved in supporting the company expansion plans.
**Main tasks**:
- Review and recommend improvement opportunity of the process flow and machineries to reduce cost and improve efficiency of the production process.
- Strategize and direct the overall master planning of production activities to meet delivery dates according to sales forecast and/or customers’ orders while meeting standards of safety and quality.
- Ensure production results and on-time delivery according to sales forecasts or customer orders and appropriate inventory levels. Identify challenges and perform root cause analysis for variation and recommend for solutions accordingly.
- Ensure an effective management of the production areas producing a cost-effective output with emphasis on quality, yield, and productivity.
- Plan and monitor manpower allocation on the floor and equipment operation efficiency
- Work closely with relevant department on Inventory management, warehousing and logistics to ensure production quality, efficiency in meeting customers’ demands.
- Work closely with the suppliers.
- Continuously review, monitor & analyse customer requirement, supplier performance, planning and actual production in order to achieve customer’s satisfaction.
- Optimise production planning and control with up-to-date information on demand variation affecting raw material requirements, and ultimately affecting production planning and overall operation.
- Monitor production results and ensure on-time delivery according to sales forecasts or customer orders and appropriate inventory levels.
- To ensure that good housekeeping, safety and health measures are properly implemented within the plant.
- To lead, coach and mentor a team of employees; to review the employees’ performance.
**Requirements**:
- You must have at least 8 years’ working experience in furniture manufacturing and have proven experiences in managerial role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision making skills
- Strong working knowledge of furniture production; ability to develop & enforce the procedures
- Strong leadership; Team player with positive and motivated mind-set
**Salary**: From RM5,000.00 per month
