Loans Operations Analyst 2

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The position is responsible for reconciliation and substantiation of Balance Sheet Accounts related to Lending Operations. Interpersonal skills include analytical, problem-solving and communication are required to support the team in driving full compliance of the policy, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan financial records including investigation of discrepancies and provide relevant remediation.

Individual must be accountable, ethical, results oriented, trustworthy, and credible. This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to the operation manual to comply with Citi global balance sheet policies. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of balance sheet general accounts will manage preparing and monitoring loan general ledger accounts/ reconciliation and reconciliation.
- Reconcile loan related general account balances against various sources and sub-ledgers. Daily activities includes zero balance account reconciliation (e.g., suspense/compensation/etc), loan product account (e.g., asset and liability general sub-ledger) and cash account (e.g., Nostro/etc) related to corporate lending.
- Identify and substantiate the discrepancies/variances through the reconciliation process.
- Collaborate with processing teams not limited to other departments (e.g., Finance, Risk, Cash, etc) to resolve the breaks and issues of the discrepancies/variances.
- Ability to analyze the account balance breaks and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders with effective remediation action plans.
- Timely management and escalation of all critical issues related to corporate lending balance accounts which may cause operational loss to Citigroup.
- Makes evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information and provides assistance in the implementation of loan documentation process improvements.
- Minimizes risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements - understands and monitors errors to suggest solutions to reduce errors, and to adhere to audit and control policies.
- Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate/integrate with others in the team and closely related teams.
- Good communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information, while sensitive to audience diversity.
- Individuals at this level exhibit executional capabilities

Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of relevant experience related to financial reporting and lending product general accounts usage.
- Understanding of bank accounting principles & policies..
- Extensive experience in working with variety of bank operation teams and finance departments.
- Demonstrate strong ability to analyze complex lending operation financial data, identify discrepancies and provide effective solutions on timely manner.
- Ability to work with various operation teams and departments (finance, business, risk management, etc).
- Demonstrate the ability of managing operational risks and enhance controls in complex accounting processes related to corporate lending.
- Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to bank policies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (word, Excel, etc).
- Ability to make decisions, problem solving Self-motivation comprehensive corporate loan Elementary level knowledge in bank accounting policy and corporate lending processes.
- Experience in project driving, process improvement, and coordination skills.
- Appropriate knowledge of bank operation risk events and accounting policies.
- Safeguard of Citigroup reputation and it’s clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable regulations, rules and regulations.**Job Family Group**:
