**Develop and Implement Safety Policies**:
- Create, review, and update workplace safety procedures and policies in compliance with legal regulations.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are aligned with local, national, and international health and safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
- **Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification**:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Perform risk assessments to evaluate and manage potential risks in the workplace.
- Recommend measures for controlling and mitigating these risks.
- **Safety Training and Awareness**:
- Organize and deliver safety training programs and workshops for employees on proper procedures, emergency response, and use of protective equipment.
- Ensure all staff are aware of and understand safety protocols.
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices.
- **Incident and Accident Investigation**:
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine their causes.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain records of incidents and report them to management and relevant authorities, as required by law.
- **Compliance Monitoring**:
- Ensure the organization complies with local, state, and federal safety and health regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in safety laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and workplace safety standards.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, such as evacuation procedures, fire drills, and first-aid protocols.
- Ensure that all emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, first aid kits) is available and functional.
- **Health and Wellness Initiatives**:
- Promote employee health and wellness through initiatives such as ergonomic assessments, stress management workshops, and healthy lifestyle programs.
- Conduct health screenings and assess workplace conditions that may impact employee well-being (e.g., air quality, noise levels).
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, risk assessments, safety incidents, and employee safety training.
- Prepare and submit reports to management, regulatory bodies, or insurance companies as required.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Educational Background**: A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- **Certifications**: OSHA certification (green book), equivalent safety certifications.
- **Experience**: Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
- **Knowledge**: Deep understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- **Skills**: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to spot potential hazards and ensure thorough inspections.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
