Executive, QA/qc

Responsible for the implementation of the established Quality Management System, Quality improvement initiatives and Quality initiatives / programs in the assigned area, quality audit and close out, ensuring documentation are in order as per established QMS requirements, and to promote a Quality culture / mind-set based on the Quality philosophy of continual improvement at MMHE.
- In collaboration with relevant Production units, implement Quality Management System to achieve effective and efficient system meeting the requirements of ISO 9001.
- Update Quality Management System to incorporate improvements and to instill the culture of continual improvement within the respective Business / Service Units (BU / SU) of MMHE.
- Implement Quality Management System at project-level in collaboration with Project Manager(s).
- Implement audit programs at project/ Business Unit levels as per the Audit Plan to ensure / gauge the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Coordinate audit(s) with external parties (e.g. clients & certification / regulatory bodies) in collaboration with the respective Business Units to ensure compliance to the auditors’ requirements timely and accurately.
- Assist in taking up actions with various parties in the BU to close-up on audit findings so as any outstanding non-compliance / observations can be closed-up.
- Compile and tabulate quality data e.g. audit result, Non-Conformance Report (NCR), Quality Action Notes (QAN) and Welding Performance and determine root cause of problems to produce corrective / preventive actions.
- Communicate ‘lessons learnt’ to all related parties pertaining to NCR, QAN and Welding Performance with intention to prevent the occurrence of similar non-conformances.
- Act as QA Focal Person for the assigned Project Team(s) to identify, collate, review and expedite submission of comprehensive / complete project specifics procedures to clients on schedule.
- Develop and maintain professional business relationships with client(s) and QA counterparts through networking to gain clients’ confidence and to promote conducive working environment for implementation of Quality systems in order to achieve Quality targets and objectives.
- Identify Quality requirements through review of clients’ specifications, develop approach / techniques to meet requirements and ensure implementation throughout project execution.
- Propose substitute resources / methods, if any, to client(s) as alternative(s) with the objective of meeting client specification / contract requirements.
- Implement Quality programs (e.g. Quality walkabout / Quality Incentive Award / Competitions / talks / workshops) to promote Quality culture
- Act as MRC’s Quality Change Agent to promote Quality awareness company-wide by conducting briefings / training / talks / counseling in order to support the establishment of Quality culture / environment in MMHE.
- Conduct quality check / test on resources ie. manpower, equipment and consumables for assigned Project to ensure qualified manpower (welders / tradesmen etc.) and suitable resources are utilized at work site to produce quality work to meet contract obligations.
- Participate in MRC Quality improvement initiatives (e.g. new testing methods and system procedures) to improve Quality standards and performance.
