At TongXin Waldorf School, we are looking for a dedicated **Cambridge IGCSE ESL Teacher** who is passionate about helping students become capable, curious, and confident communicators—both in and beyond the exam room.

This is a unique role that blends **rigorous exam preparation** with **Waldorf-inspired teaching**. You'll be preparing students for the full IGCSE English as a Second Language (ESL) exam—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—while also using **storytelling, nature-based experiences, and student-led learning** to bring English alive.

We welcome both **full-time and part-time** applicants.

**A Teaching Experience That's Different - And Supported**:
You don't need experience with holistic Waldorf education—just a **passion for teaching and an open mind**. Here, you'll have the freedom to move beyond rote learning, using creative writing, drama and real-world experiences to make English lived. **Training & peer support provided.**

**What You'll Do (With Flexibility & Guidance)**:

- ** Incorporate Waldorf-Inspired Methods** - Use storytelling, nature, seasonal rhythms, and hands-on activities to make English meaningful and memorable.
- ** Work in Small Classes**- With 10-15 students per class, you'll have the space to personalise learning and build strong student relationships.
- ** Build Strong Foundations**- Identify and support language gaps, especially for learners who are new to English or lack confidence.
- ** Foster Independent Learners** - Encourage critical thinking, self-expression, and ownership of learning as students prepare for post-secondary pathways.
- ** Be Part of a Thriving School Community** - Join a supportive, engaged team where teachers, students, and parents learn and grow together.

**Who We're Looking For**:

- A **qualified English or ESL teacher** with a strong grasp of the Cambridge IGCSE ESL curriculum.
- 2+ years of **Cambridge IGCSE ESL teaching experience**, including exam preparation.
- Someone who sees language as more than an exam—it's a way to **connect, express, and explore the world.**:

- A clear and engaging communicator who can inspire **both native and EAL learners.**:

- Someone who **balances structure and flexibility**—committed to student outcomes but open to creative, student-centered approaches.
- A **team player and community-minded educator** who thrives in a collaborative school environment.

**Preferred Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.)
- Experience with project-based or interdisciplinary teaching
- Experience in a Waldorf, nature-based, or alternative education setting (a plus)
