Director of Sales

Key responsibilities to include:
- Conducting and continuously updating local market research.
- Sell incremental room nights & Food & Beverage and banqueting sales
- Develop and execute the Company's annual revenue and sales & marketing plan, sales and marketing budgets and forecasts.
- Achieve and exceed the Revenue targets for the property.
- Assess the market potential and develop new business opportunities while at the same time increasing revenues from existing customers.
- Prepare and implement the hotel’s annual Sales plan, make sales calls to Key accounts and potential clients, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities.
- Aggressively pursue revenue goals and effectively utilize yield management and revenue maximization tools.
- Ensure good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with businesses, local government agencies, other hotels and other community and civic organizations.
- Work closely with Revenue, Marketing, Front office and Housekeeping staff to ensure that the hotel meets/exceeds hotel's brand standards for guest satisfaction.
- Perform HR function of hiring, motivating, coaching and training team members, set goals and holding team members accountable, and provide feedback, rewards, and recognition.
**The minimum qualifications for the position**:
- Degree in Business Management is an advantage and preferred.
- 6 years sales experience in the hospitality industry with a minimum of 4 years leading a team in the sales department.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills)
- Willing to travel and must possess a valid driving license
- Willing to take responsibility and accountability.
- Willing to work on weekends and holidays if required.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM17,000.00 per month
