Machinery Operations Director

The Machinery Operations Director in the Industrial Textile Weaving Division is a leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of machinery involved in têxtile weaving processes. This role requires in-depth knowledge of various weaving machines, including Rapier Looms, Sectional Warping machines, and Knotting machines. The director will lead a team of technicians and operators to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production within the weaving division. Key Responsibilities: - Leadership and Management: o Provide strategic direction and leadership to the machinery operations team. o Collaborate with senior management to define operational goals, targets, and performance metrics. o Manage a team of technicians and operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. - Machinery Operations Oversight: o Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Rapier Looms, Sectional Warping machines, and Knotting machines. o Ensure machines are properly set up, calibrated, and maintained for optimal performance. o Implement preventive maintenance schedules and address breakdowns to minimize production downtime. - Process Optimization: o Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction. o Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process enhancements and technological upgrades. - Quality Control: o Establish and maintain quality standards for woven têxtiles produced by the machines. o Monitor fabric quality and collaborate with quality control teams to address any deviations. - Safety and Compliance: o Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines. o Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. - Inventory Management: o Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage raw material inventories required for weaving operations. o Ensure adequate stock levels and minimize wastage. - Training and Development: o Develop training programs for machine operators and technicians to enhance their technical skills. o Provide ongoing training to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. - Data Analysis and Reporting: o Collect and analyze production data to monitor machine performance and identify trends. o Prepare regular reports on production output, efficiency, and quality metrics. - Collaboration: o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and production planning, to ensure seamless operations. - Continuous Improvement: o Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and problem-solving among the team. o Implement best practices and industry benchmarks to enhance operations.
