**Job Summary**:
The IT Executive is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all IT systems in the hotel, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This includes the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS), WiFi infrastructure, all hardware and software maintenance, and the enforcement of data privacy policies. The role requires coordination with internal departments and external vendors to support hotel operations effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Hotel PMS System (IDB)**:
- Ensure the IDB PMS is functioning efficiently with mínimal downtime.
- Provide first-line support to hotel staff on system usage and troubleshooting.
- Liaise with PMS vendor for upgrades, issues, and enhancements.
- Manage user access levels and data integrity within the system.
**2. WiFi Network Management**:
- Monitor and maintain the hotel’s WiFi system for guest and staff usage.
- Ensure reliable internet access throughout the property.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues promptly.
- Work with vendors or service providers for WiFi performance optimization.
**3. Hardware & Software Maintenance**:
- Maintain all IT hardware including desktops, printers, servers, POS terminals, routers, CCTV, and telephony systems.
- Ensure timely software updates, patching, and licensing compliance.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for all IT equipment.
- Support end-users with technical issues and basic IT training when required.
**4. Data Privacy & Security**:
- Serve as the hotel’s **Data Privacy Officer**, ensuring compliance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
- Develop and implement data protection policies and best practices.
- Manage secure data storage, backup, and disposal protocols.
- Conduct staff briefings and training on data privacy responsibilities.
- Handle data breach investigations and reporting, if any arise.
**Requirements & Skills**:
- Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in IT support or hotel IT operations preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel PMS (preferably IDB) and hospitality technology systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and WiFi management.
- Knowledge of PDPA or other relevant data protection legislation.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergency issues outside of office hours when required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
