Accounts Manager

**REQUIREMENT**:
i. Minimum 5-10 years of relevant accounting working experiences specifically on construction and development industry (Auditing experiences is an advantageous), experience in a supervisory or assistant management role.
ii. Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Malay & Mandarin (any dialect) will be an advantage
iii. Proficiency in UBS & SQL accounting software with good computer knowledge (Microsoft Office and etc)
iv. Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with positive working attitude
v. Capable of multi-tasking and meticulous, responsible, honest, strong team player and have ability to work independently and effectively within timeframes set
vi. Willing to travel as and when required
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**1. Financial Management & Reporting**
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor financial performance of ongoing construction projects.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting for current and upcoming projects.
- Handling full set of accounts with responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness, timely closing and reporting of the monthly financial reports within deadlines.
- Oversee bank reconciliation processes.
**2. Project Cost Control**
- Review and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and actual expenditures.
- Validate progress claims, Variation Orders, retention, and final accounts.
- Verify cost allocation and prepare cost-to-complete analysis.
- Work with QS and Project Managers tasks to identify cost variances.
**3. Claim Management**
Manage all financial aspects of construction-related claims, including:
**i. Client / Main Contractor Claims**
- Prepare and review progress claims.
- Ensure claims align with Bill of Quantity (BOQ), project progress, contract terms, and QS certification.
- Follow up on claim submission, certification, and payment.
**ii. Sub-contractor and Supplier Claims**
- Review and validate subcontractor progress claims.
- Verify work completion, site reports, and supporting documents before approval.
- Ensure timely processing of subcontractor payments.
**iii. Claim to Bank**
- Prepare and submit bank claims to release project financing according to loan agreements.
- Compile supporting documents: progress certificates, BOQ and invoices.
- Coordinate with QS, Project Manager, and bank officials to ensure timely verification and fund disbursement.
- Track and reconcile bank disbursements with project accounts.
- Ensure claims comply with E-invoicing procedure, SST and statutory requirements.
**iv. Final Account Settlement**
- Support preparation and verification of final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure all claims, retention sums, and outstanding payments are accurately recorded.
**4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management**
- Manage overall company cash flow, including project-based cash projections.
- Review supplier payments, subcontractor claims, and procurement expenses.
- Ensure healthy liquidity levels to support project operations.
**5. Compliance & Audit**
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (tax, SST, audit, regulatory bodies).
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents and any related parties.
- Implement internal controls and financial policies to reduce operational risks.
**6. Team Leadership & Coordination**
- Supervise and mentor the accounts and finance team.
- Provide guidance on accounting procedures and construction finance standards.
**7.**Undertake any ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
