**Role Description**

This is a full-time on-site role as a **Chemist**at **PGEO Edible Oils Sdn Bhd** **Packaging Division**(A Member Of Wilmar Group Of Companies) located in **Pasir Gudang**.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Science or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
- Experience in edible oil manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

**Overall Responsibilities**

Responsible for overseeing QC activities and ensuring smooth lab operations. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain lab equipment.

**Responsibilities**:
**Plan and manage**:

- Internal Cross-Check Proficiency Tests.
- Calibration and verification of lab instruments.
- Lab equipment maintenance schedule.
- Round robin testing

**Verify and review**:

- Daily storage tank and plant records.
- Daily oil intake and dispatch records.
- Contaminant monitoring reports.
- Calibration and standardization of lab instruments and chemicals.

**Ensure**:

- Lab instruments are calibrated/verified on schedule, with proper records.
- Lab staff are trained in equipment handling and chemical safety.
- Raw materials, in-process, and finished products meet specifications.
- CCP monitoring (2nd level verification) is conducted as scheduled.
- Proficiency tests and contaminant monitoring programs are completed on time.
- Accuracy of COA results and details.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Manage lab chemical and consumable orders.
- Provide blending ratios for blended oils and oversee blending when needed.
- Handle internal/external audits.
- Address customer complaints, investigate issues, and report findings.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformance product issues.
- Issue analysis reports to external parties (e.g., surveyors, external labs).
- Organize AOCS proficiency testing and report results.
- Cover duties for colleagues or superiors in their absence.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
- Engage in the implementation of management systems as necessary (e.g., HACCP, GMP, HALAL, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, RSPO).

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
