**Role Overview**:
As Senior Merchandiser, you will lead the buying and merchandising strategy across all product categories, ensuring The Chamber maintains its position as the premier destination for authentic, high-end spirits and wines. You'll be responsible for curating an exceptional product portfolio that meets our discerning customers' preferences while maximizing profitability.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Product Strategy & Portfolio Management**:

- Develop and execute merchandising strategies aligned with business objectives
- Curate product assortments across all categories (wines, spirits, champagnes, etc.)
- Identify emerging trends and new product opportunities
- Maintain optimal product mix balancing premium positioning with commercial viability
- Monitor product performance and make data-driven buying decisions

**Supplier & Brand Relations**:

- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and brand owners
- Negotiate commercial terms and pricing with suppliers
- Develop exclusive product listings and allocations
- Ensure authenticity and provenance of all products
- Coordinate with suppliers for product training and events

**Inventory & Category Management**:

- Manage inventory levels and stock turn across all locations
- Analyze sales data to optimize stock allocation
- Set and monitor pricing strategies
- Develop promotional calendars with marketing team
- Ensure proper product storage and handling procedures

**Financial Performance**:

- Achieve margin and profitability targets
- Manage buying budgets effectively
- Monitor and control aged inventory
- Analyze category performance and implement improvements
- Forecast sales and develop buying plans accordingly

**Team Leadership**:

- Lead and develop the merchandising team
- Provide product knowledge training to sales teams
- Collaborate with operations and marketing teams
- Share market insights and product knowledge across organization

**Requirements**:

- _ **4-5 years experience in premium wine and spirits buying/merchandising**_
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
- Deep knowledge of wines and spirits, with relevant certifications (WSET preferred)
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Understanding of luxury retail market dynamics
- Passion for premium wines and spirits

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
