They are a game tech focused studio with both internal OIP (Original Intellectual Property) and external co-development tracks. They build games over multiple platforms, primarily focused on Windows Desktop PC (Unreal Engine). Their flagship and breakout is a fully serviced live operational squad based multiplayer PvP (Player-Versus-Player) 5v5 (Five-Versus-Five) FPS (First-Person-Shooter) and RTS (Real-Time-Strategy) hybrid action combat game launched in 2021.
Our client provides full cycle work for hire, co-development, consulting, backend development, and virtual production support disciplines across all departments both internally and externally. Today, they are a team of 60 full-time internal developers and growing. **The Responsibilities**:
Our client is on the lookout for great full-time talents in Real-Time 3D Character Art Asset development to join their ever growing development team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with their core team in producing consistently believable, stylistically accurate, platform and engine optimized 3D characters in their many internal and external projects.
- Principal Responsibilities
- Work alongside their team and project stakeholders in constructing visually accurate and appealing assets, in-lined with the project’s visual direction, be it organic, hard surfaced, or hybrid type characters and creatures, within technical specifications while meeting calendar and milestone demands.
- Develop convincing characters, utilizing strong art fundamentals, knowledge across multiple disciplines and software in constructing all manner of characters, creatures, animals, robots, etc. accurately, with respect to the project’s concept designs, while maintaining its technical constraints and boundaries.
- Work closely with multiple disciplines, in designing, planning, and ascertaining accurate production estimates, to identify any potential pitfalls during development. In ensuring consistent delivery of virtually believable characters, that invoke emotional responses from their players.
- Team and Personal Responsibilities
- Good interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills, is able to effectively liaise over various disciplines, and stakeholders across different project and approval stages.
- Experienced, or keen to learn and improve new pipeline and production practices through iterative development methodologies, be it traditional or agile workflows.
- Constantly familiarizing and keeping updated with current industry standards, trends, pipelines, and software to effectively and consistently hit higher graphical benchmarks.

- Experience in 3D Software (Pixologic ZBrush, Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, etc.)
- Experience in 2D Software (Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter, Designer etc.)
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4, and or 5 (and above).
- Experience in Version Control Software (SVN, Git, Perforce, etc.).
- Experience in Game Art Asset Pipeline (High-Poly, Low-Poly, Baking, etc.)
- Experience in Traditional and or Agile work environments and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Human and Creature Anatomy, Hard-Surface and Organic Sculpting.
- Good observational skills and keen attention to detail in replicating concepts into 3D assets.
- Ability to understand complex multi-state design(s) for assets needing animation.
- Ability to self assess, profile, improve, and optimize in-game 3D assets.
- Knowledgeable in a typical game development cycle.
- Is Proficient in English, verbal and written.
- Supplementary Skills
- Experience in Cloth Simulation, and or Sculpting.
- Experience in Character Prop Development (Weapon, Armor, Skins, etc.).
- Experience in Realistic (PBR), and or Stylized Texture Workflows.
- Beneficial & Bonus Skills
- Experience in Unreal Material and Shader development and integration.
- Experience in Peripheral Character Pipeline Disciplines (Concept, Prop, VFX, etc.).
- Good observational skills in body mechanics and industrial design.
- Experience in optimizing for various hardware and platforms (Mobile, Console, PC, etc.).
- Experience in Modular, and or Trimmed Asset Pipeline Development.
- Experience in In-Game Post Processing tools (Unreal Engine).
- Experience in Rigging for In-Game Animation (Traditional, Skeletal Mesh, Lyra, etc.).
