As a Mechanic at Mara Liner Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of buses. Your expertise and dedication will play a crucial role in keeping our buses in optimal condition, ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Vehicle Maintenance:

- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on buses to identify and address mechanical issues promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliable operation.
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, and other maintenance tasks as needed.

2. Troubleshooting and Repair:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in buses to identify the root causes of problems.
- Repair and replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to efficiently diagnose and resolve technical issues.

3. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify and report safety hazards or potential risks associated with bus operation and maintenance.
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts inventory, and expenditures.
- Document all work performed on buses, including parts replaced, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.
- Generate reports and maintain documentation for compliance purposes and historical records.

5. Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other mechanics, technicians, and supervisors to prioritize tasks, share knowledge, and coordinate workflow efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to report progress, discuss issues, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components of buses.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to performing high-quality work.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
