**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare, and produce a wide range of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked goods according to standardized recipes.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Oversee daily operations in the pastry section of the central kitchen to ensure timely and accurate production.
- Monitor product quality and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all distribution points/outlets.
- Maintain stock levels and order necessary supplies while managing inventory to minimize waste.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate junior pastry staff and bakers.
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP or local regulations).
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure proper packaging, labeling, and dispatch of baked goods.
- Maintain and update production records and costings as required.
- Operate and maintain pastry equipment and machinery with care and responsibility.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Baker in a central kitchen, bakery, or large-scale production environment.
- Formal culinary/pastry education or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry trends, and ingredient functions.
- Ability to scale recipes and manage high-volume production.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with modern pastry techniques (e.g., sugar work, chocolate tempering, entremets).
- Knowledge of international dessert and pastry styles.

**Work Conditions**:

- Physically demanding role; long hours standing.
- Early morning shifts or flexible hours may be required.
- Cold room and hot kitchen environments.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
