General Ledger Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement the structure and operating model for the new GL team.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of GL staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Implement standardized GL processes, policies, and controls in coordination with Corporate and Regional Accounting teams.
- Define and document workflows for journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration with related finance processes.
- Drive harmonization and simplification of GL activities across entities.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.
- Lead the end-to-end transition of GL activities into the shared services center.
- Develop and execute transition plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with regional stakeholders to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and mínimal disruption.
- Oversee daily GL activities and ensure timely, accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/MFRS and internal policies.
- Drive automation and process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Establish robust internal controls aligned with SOX and risk management practices.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Act as a strategic partner to corporate and regional finance teams.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on GL data and performance trends.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Pay: Up to RM15,000.00 per month
