**Team Description**
**What You'll Do**
Develop optimum and efficient data analysis methodologies including rule-based and logical decisions for engineering work processes to be optimized & effective
- Drive & collaborate with technical specialists on data analytics development that support efficiency, quality initiatives and projects
- Lead and support data science and data analysis related projects which analyses sophisticated problems, pattern matching, anomalies and translates data into useful insights to drive business and operational decisions in various areas such as Manufacturing, Assembly and Test that improves manufacturing quality, improves yield, reduces deviations, improves manufacturing cycle time, reduces cost, extends manufacturing capabilities, etc.
- Draw from a broad background of data-mining techniques in mathematics, statistics, information technology, machine learning, data engineering, visualization, etc. to discover insightful patterns in the dataset
- Work with various scientific data such as equipment sensor data and logs, image and various types of signals, manufacturing process data, etc. to extract meaningful information for analytics
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources from Supply Chain and Engineering.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Recent Graduate or Minimum 1 year work experience in an analytical role or relevant working experience
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Applied Science/Applied Mathematics/Econometrics/Actuarial Science or relevant degrees with a strong focus on statistics or data
- Strong background in statistical concepts and calculations
- Knowledge in Null hypothesis, t-test, Spearman/Pearson correlation, Bayesian Statistics etc
- Innovative and strong analytical and algorithmic problem solvers withexcellent troubleshooting/debugging skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and strong discipline in cross checking results
- Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Must be Malaysian citizen (student visa's or visa's obtained on your own are not applicable)
**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in MongoDB, Snowflakes, TensorFlow, Pytorch
- Knowledge in Python's data analysis packages Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Statsmodels, Matplotlib, Seaborn or equivalent tools like R, SAS, and SPSS.
- Data engineering experience, including SQL and experience manipulating structured and unstructured data sources for analysis
- Experience in handling real data
