Manpower Planning Manager

**This position reports to the Group Head of Crew Resources**
**The Manpower Planning Manager is responsible for design, research and implementation of long-term strategic and innovative projects for Manpower Planning, crew resource utilization and creation and management of master schedule crew pairings in the most efficient manner in accordance with the associated regulations. Flattening the operational crew requirement peaks through optimisation of resources and distribution of recurrent crew training and crew annual leave are a priority. They will also be responsible for updating the manpower status to the management based on the business requirements from time to time.**

**Your Responsibilities**
- ** Optimally predict manpower requirement for pilots and cabin crew to flight operations, CCD and PD department.**
- ** Responsible for achieving optimal use of flight and cabin crew resources by forecasting and coordinating air crew resource plans, recruitment, training plans and leave management from time to time as per the business requirements with Flight Ops and CCD management team of all AOCs**
- ** Maintain long-term, short-term, and budget resource plans to optimize crew utilization and minimize costs.**
- ** Responsible for planning crew pairings in a legal & efficient manner and within targets set to obtain stable but high crew utilization and provide feedback to the scheduling team for improvement in schedule for better crew utilizations.**
- ** Serve as business owner and work in conjunction with tech and project teams on development of a manpower planning system.**
- ** Ensure timely delivery of Crew Pairings by regularly monitoring the optimization process and liaise with Crew Rostering teams for subsequent roster targets and issues.**
- ** Manage crew pairing to maximize crew utilization in order to produce optimum cost to the business.**
- ** Oversee the analysis of commercial/ operational changes on tactical Crew Pairings to understand cost/ net impact.**
- ** Analyze various pairing scenarios and determine the most sustainable solution within given parameters for the planning period.**
- ** Review the pairings solutions planned versus actual and map trends to develop more robust planning & forecasting.**
- ** Guide the development of adequate reporting structures for pairings generation processes.**
- ** Oversee maintenance of pairings plans and suggest changes to the business process which will result in the overall improvements to the outcome of the final solution**
- ** Ensure detailed analysis of various pairing “what if” scenarios are conducted to assess impact of future business changes and determine future crew resource requirements.**
- ** Responsible for measuring and articulating the performance of flight and cabin crew against a set of KPIs to all key stakeholders.**
- ** Lead, mentor and provide guidance to the crew establishment planning team**
**Your Merits**
- ** Bachelor’s Degree, aviation and business related fields would be an advantage**
- ** At least 5 years of airline experience. Experience in Crew Manpower planning will be an advantage.**
- ** Knowledge and mastery of microsoft office, particularly excel or google sheets is essential**
- ** Excellent knowledge of crew related regulations and constraints**
- ** Excellent and demonstrable leadership and communication skills**
- ** A good understanding of technology and digitalisation in the operations control space is an advantage**
- ** Knowledge of data analytics tools such as data studio and tableau would be an advantage**
