Mandarin Speaking Shipping Manager

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Shipping Coordination**:
To plan, coordinate, and execute shipments to meet customer requirements, considering cost, transit time, and delivery deadlines.

To liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to arrange transportation and negotiate rates.

To ensure accurate documentation, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, are prepared for each shipment.

To monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.

**Customs Compliance**:
To stay up-to-date with international customs regulations and ensure compliance with import/export laws.

To prepare and submit customs documentation, including import/export declarations and customs clearance paperwork.

To collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance for imported and exported goods.

To maintain records of customs documentation and ensure they are readily accessible for auditing and reporting purposes.

**Supply Chain Management**:
To work closely with the production team to ensure timely availability of goods for shipment.

To coordinate with warehouse personnel to optimize inventory management and facilitate smooth order fulfilment.

To develop and implement shipping strategies to minimize costs and improve overall efficiency.

To continuously evaluate and improve shipping processes to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce lead times.

**Team Leadership**:
To lead and manage a team of shipping and logistics personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

To foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

To set goals and objectives for the shipping team and monitor their progress, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.

To conduct regular performance evaluations and identify opportunities for professional development.

**REQUIREMENTS**

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.

Previous experience as a Shipping Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of shipping processes, including freight forwarding, carrier selection, and transportation modes.

Familiarity with customs regulations, import/export laws, and documentation requirements.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Proficient in using shipping software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and customs authorities.

Good communication skill in Mandarin, English and Bahasa.

Leadership qualities to motivate and manage a team effectively.

**COMPENSATION & BENEFITS**

**Basic Salary 4,000.00-6,000.00**

**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Working as a Shipping Manager in a Manufacturing Environment: 2 years (preferred)
- Handling the entire Shipping Process: 2 years (preferred)
- Hands on with entire Customs Regulation and Requirements: 2 years (preferred)
- Hands on with ERP/any Shipping systems/software: 1 year (preferred)
