**JOB POSITION: ASSISTANT MANAGER FITNESS**
**DEPARTMENT: FITNESS**
**LOCATION**:5 STAR HOTEL, KUANTAN**
**SALARY: RM3,000 - RM3,500**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The main goal of this role is to carefully oversee all activities occurring on the fitness floor and offer help to users whenever necessary. Assistant Manager - Fitness are tasked with ensuring the safety and effectiveness of all fitness zones. This involves educating users on weight room conduct, correct methods for strength and resistance training, proper use of fitness gear, as well as maintaining cleanliness and functionality of all equipment and areas. Additionally, FAs enforce all user policies and procedures.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To oversee staff and department operations in the absence of management, prioritizing guest and member satisfaction.
- Collaborate effectively within the team to achieve department goals, with regular reviews.
- Aid in guest scheduling, manage staff clock reports, oversee work schedules, and daily routines.
- Implement and uphold department procedures to the highest professional standards, assisting in their regular review and update.
- Maintain company customer care standards when interacting with guests and members, serving as a role model for professional behavior.
- Evaluate department revenue and budgets, preparing monthly revenue and commission reports for managerial review.
- Support the Manager in enhancing and introducing new fitness and wellbeing services for guests and Club Members.
- Conduct various classes and services as required.
- Actively promote and sell all fitness and wellbeing services to enhance department visibility and demonstrate value to guests and members.
- Attend weekly operational management meetings and contribute as appropriate.
- Assist the Manager in advertising, recruiting, and onboarding new staff.
- Participate in developing and overseeing staff training programs, identifying training needs through assessments, discussions, and appraisals with the Manager.
- Coordinate Wellbeing programs and ensure department and resort-wide awareness.
- Organize, attend, and actively engage in monthly staff meetings, ensuring agendas and minutes are distributed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment in accordance with company health and safety regulations for the enjoyment and welfare of guests and members.
- Perform daily checks on health and safety, cleanliness, and stock control across all department areas.
- Support the Manager with department and club administration tasks as required.
- Fulfill any additional tasks or duties assigned by the Wellbeing and Fitness Manager/Director as needed.

**JOB REQUIREMENT**:

- Previous experience in a fitness or related industry, with a demonstrated understanding of fitness principles, equipment usage, and customer service.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, as well as supervise staff in the absence of higher management.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction, ensuring that all interactions with guests and members meet or exceed company standards.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to the achievement of departmental goals.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, staff management, and budget oversight.
- Experience in developing and implementing staff training programs, identifying training needs, and conducting assessments.
- Ability to actively promote and sell fitness services and memberships, enhancing department visibility and revenue generation.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices, ensuring a safe environment for guests, members, and staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff, management, and clients.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs within the fitness and wellbeing environment.
- A relevant degree or certification in fitness, sports management, hospitality, or a related field may be preferred.
- Depending on the facility, certifications such as CPR/AED, personal training, or group fitness instructor certifications may be required or beneficial.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
