Location : Kuala Lumpur

Description

To plan and design FTTX network including Outside Plant (OSP) build and
Optical Distribution Network (ODN) based on Maxis business needs. To draft
AUTOCAD drawing for civil works and produce technical proposal (TP) for
OSP and ODN construction works.

Plan Fiber OSP and ODN network
a) Based on given target areas, perform FTTX network planning.
b) Ensure timely and cost effective FTTX network planning considering future growth & services

Design Fiber OSP and ODN network
a) Based on given target areas, perform FTTX network design.
b) Ensure cost effective FTTX network design considering other services such as mobile and Enterprise services.
c) Continuously explore new FTTX design, improved specifications and future technology.

Draft AUTOCAD drawing for civil works and produce technical proposal (TP) for OSP and ODN construction works.
Capacity management
a) ‘Accountable’ for end to end capacity management for FTTX new design and upgrade
b) Consolidate network requirement and expansion plans for better synergy towards internal & external customers.
c) Proactive support to Operational Performance and UPE related issues.
Financial management
a) To ensure timely project execution within the approved budget; both CAPEX and OPEX.
Project Management
a) ‘Synergize’ with Network Rollout (NRO) team for timely project execution and delivery according to FTTX design policy.
b) Keep track and ensure job completion is within the optimize timeline.
c) Improvise methods and procedures to cultivate a conducive working environment
Strategy management
a) Proactive on the evolution/progress of TN development plan as per TN’s roadmap.
Industrial relationship management
a) ‘Represent’ Maxis in industry forums and working groups to share common interest but also to safeguard Maxis interest.
b) b)Collaboration within OLO such as infra sharing for cost effective solution.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree Specialized in: Communication Engineering or relevant engineering degrees

TECHNICAL COMPETENCES

Work Experience: Minimum 1 year with relevant experience in FTTX planning and design. AUTOCAD drafter experience will have advantage.

Basic Telecommunications, AUTOCAD certification, Fiber Infrastructure, Outside Plant related to FTTX technologies
