**Wealth and Personal Banking** is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team in the role of **Assistant Manager Business Development** working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
**Role purpose**:
- To assist the Manager in business development via corporate programs and relationships and actively tie up projects in the assigned region and area. Apart from business development the job scope also covers upfront negotiation with developers and corporate management team project offers and special packages. This will be achieved by Managing and Coordinating all business development activities for Wealth and Personal Banking growth in asset and liability base, Follow-up on cross sell opportunity from various functions within Bank and Wealth and Personal Banking Managers. To work closely with business partners from CMB, PCM and GB on joint business development proposition.
**Principal Responsibilities**:
- Managing and Coordinating business development proposition and targets as per the Bank’s direction.
- To work closely with Branches, CMB, PCM and other parties to grow liability business as a key priority.
- To champion and drive the payroll business through excellent leadership and teamwork with others.
- To safeguard the Bank from loss and always protects the Bank’s reputation.
- To implement Group Compliance Policy and maintain HSBC internal control standards.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree preferably a degree in Finance, business or in related fields.
- Minimum of 2-5 years working experience in finance or banking services.
- Strong in numerical and communication skilll, pleasant attitude and is able to work as a team.
- Working knowledge in Excel Spreadsheet and Powerpoint presentation is required.
- Basic organisation skills and ability of project management are needed where the role requires the ability to deal and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Additionally, presentation skills and communication skills are vital in the business context. This will be crucial in the influencing factor needed.
- Leadership skills in driving the goals for the year.
- Excellent language proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
