We’re looking for a Product Owner to drive the development of our lending technology - from ideation to execution - ensuring that every feature, flow, and integration aligns with our business vision, operational excellence, and customer experience goals.
**About the Role**
As Nimbura’s Product Owner, you will be at the heart of our fintech innovation - defining, prioritizing, and managing all technology development initiatives that power our online lending operations. You will act as the key bridge between business strategy and technical delivery, ensuring our in-house systems evolve to meet the demands of scale, compliance, and customer expectations.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on project management, and a strong grasp of fintech products, particularly in digital lending and financial workflows.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Implement Company’s Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product roadmap for the LMS platform and related digital systems, aligned with Nimbura’s business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Backlog Management: Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and maintain a prioritized product backlog for the engineering team.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with business, compliance, risk, marketing, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives.
- Development Oversight: Manage the entire product development lifecycle - from requirements definition and sprint planning to testing, deployment, and performance tracking in collaboration with internal and external IT teams.
- Quality & Performance: Ensure that all product releases meet high standards for usability, performance, and reliability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present updates, timelines, and KPIs to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Leverage analytics, customer feedback, and operational insights to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
- Market Awareness: Stay ahead of fintech trends, digital lending regulations, and emerging technologies to guide product evolution.

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in product ownership, product management, or business analysis - ideally within fintech, banking, telecommunications.
- Proven experience working with in-house development teams and agile methodologies.
**Skills & Competencies**
- Strong understanding of LMS/ERP systems, loan workflows, and disbursement/repayment cycles.
- Exceptional ability to define product requirements and translate complex business needs into clear technical deliverables.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data for product optimization.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills - able to align diverse teams toward a common goal.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks in Malaysia’s financial services is a strong advantage.
