**Job Description Summary**

The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, developing and implementing safety policies, and conducting risk assessments. This role involves delivering training programs, investigating incidents, and driving corrective actions. The manager will oversee audits, monitor performance metrics, and ensure project and contractor compliance.

**About the role**:

- Ensure adherence to local and international EHS regulations, obtain permits, liaise with authorities, and stay updated on legal requirements.
- Create, implement, and update EHS policies to align with global standards and address emerging risks.
- Conduct hazard identification, safety inspections, and implement mitigation plans, including emergency response procedures.
- Develop and deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and workshops to foster a strong safety culture.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are shared.
- Conduct internal audits, track key EHS metrics, report findings, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure EHS compliance in construction projects, review safety requirements, and approve work permits.
- Implement programs for energy, waste, and water conservation while ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Serve as the key EHS contact, collaborate with teams to integrate safety measures, and report updates to leadership.
- Benchmark best practices, introduce innovative EHS solutions, and enhance workplace safety and environmental management.

**About you**:

- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent professional certifications; knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001; regional EHS certifications as applicable.
- 8-10 years of EHS experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, managing multi-site EHS programs.
- Background in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, technology, construction, or facilities management] with expertise in sector-specific EHS challenges.
- Strong understanding of APAC EHS regulations, compliance requirements, and experience working with diverse teams in different countries.
