**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on bogies and associated components (e.g., wheels, axles, suspension systems, brake systems, gearboxes).
- Disassemble and assemble bogie components as per OEM procedures and maintenance manuals.
- Conduct wheel measurements (flange, diameter, wear limits) and check for cracks, deformation, or unusual wear.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and ensure proper alignment and torque settings.
- Carry out lubrication of mechanical components as per schedules and specifications.
- Record all work performed in maintenance logs and ensure accurate documentation of inspections, findings, and actions taken.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults related to bogie performance.
- Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and quality standards.
- Support workshop cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality inspectors during maintenance and testing activities.
**Requirements**:
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Technology, or a related technical field.
**Experience**:
- 2-4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in railway, rolling stock, heavy vehicle, or manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on experience with bogie assembly/disassembly, component inspection, or maintenance of similar mechanical systems.
**Technical Skills**:
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, torque tools, and assembly practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Familiar with mechanical measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges, dial indicators).
- Basic understanding of hydraulic or pneumatic brake systems is a plus.
**Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)**:
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., CIDB, OSHA, HIRARC).
- Forklift or lifting equipment operation certification is an advantage.
**Other Competencies**:
- Strong attention to detail and high level of mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and work independently or in a team.
- Good physical condition; willing to work in workshop or depot environments.
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, or night schedules as required.
- Willing to work for 6 days a week.
**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 48 months
Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
