Job Title: Shift Team Leader

Industry: Glass manufacturing

Location: Sungai Buloh, Selangor

**About the Job**

This role will need to lead the team to ensure that team targets and objectives are met in all aspects of the business, whilst promoting and monitoring the process of continuous improvement.

**Responsibilities**:

- To actively lead the team to guarantee that targets and objectives of the team are met in all aspects of the business, whilst encouraging and overseeing the process of continuous improvement.
- To provide, a safe and healthy working environment, implement improvement programs in order to eliminate any work related injuries
- To create and promote harmonious working relationships, improve the operation of the team and its relationship with both internal and external customers
- Monitor and evaluate costs, quality and service; identifying areas for improvement programs in order to eliminate waste, this will normally be achieved through:
i) the use of problem solving techniques

ii) the evaluation team of results compared to budget and objective

iii) the ongoing monitoring of team performance
- To define priorities together with team members, setting objectives and devising improvement plans in order that results meet or exceed expectations
- Work with the team to ensure and guarantee the total satisfaction of all customers, both internal and external
- To assist the team members and members of other teams (possibly outside the group) to achieve effective and efficient use of resources
- To assist the Group Leader, MIC and Team members in defining the training and development needs of all team members
- Through a cascade method, ensure that communications operate effectively both within the team and elsewhere within the organisation
- Together with the Group Leader and the Process Improvers, determines any necessary investment within the team area and prepares the justification for capital expenditures
- To act as a link with suppliers (internal and external) to ensure that the team operates in an efficient and productive manner.

**Qualifications & Experiences Needed**
- Acquired with Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of working experience
- Able to work on shifts and rotating shift, strong command on shifts and achieve daily targets
- Good leadership skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills

**Salary**: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Rotational shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Seremban: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- night shifts: 2 years (preferred)
