Production Manager

**Responsibilities** **1. Production Monitoring and Daily Target Achievement** - Oversee and monitor daily production activities to ensure targets are consistently met as per established commitments. - Chair daily production meetings, conducting briefings with Shift A & B Supervisors, Material Coordinators, Leaders, QA, and Planners. - Review and align with the production schedule from the Planner, managing daily job assignments and setup activities. - Analyze daily output and rejection rates, implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement. - Track and update the status of "Jam" and "On Hold" parts, keeping the Planner informed. - Assign daily tasks for each role, ensuring adherence through scheduled check-ins (9.00 am, 12.00 pm, 3.00 pm, and 6.00 pm). **2. Jam and On-Hold Part Management** - Transfer Jam part quantities to A / B Shift Leaders and facilitate QC’s “special accept” or “limit” status. - Coordinate with Supervisors / Leaders to arrange rework or sorting of on-hold parts. - Arrange for operator cleaning of Jam parts to achieve target outputs. - Analyze root causes for on-hold parts, arranging tool repairs or service as needed, and coordinate with the Tool Department for standby tools. **3. Daily Output and Target Achievement** - Conduct discussions with team members and the Process Technical Manager if daily output targets are not met, identifying strategies for improvement. **4. Machine and Mold Management** - **Machine**: Track repair lead times and communicate maintenance statuses to the Planner. - **Mold**: Issue tool repair requests to the Tooling Department, requesting lead times and standby tools, and updating the Planner on availability. **5. Production Adherence and Quality Assurance** - Ensure production aligns with the Planner’s schedule. - Conduct random checks on Work Instructions (WI) and caution points to confirm adherence by operators. - Verify production parts meet first-piece standards and adhere to quality specifications. **6. Setup Monitoring** - Supervise setup time and ensure alignment with the setup schedule to support the production plan. **7. Team Workflow Supervision** - Monitor daily workflows for Supervisors and Leaders, ensuring all responsibilities are met. **8. Production Store and 5S Status** - Maintain “5S” standards in the Production Store with the Material Coordinator and Material Handler. **9. Parameter Check and Shift Handover** - Conduct parameter checks at 8.00 am for Shift B, discussing any issues before 9.00 am with Shift B, after which Shift A Technician takes over. - Conduct parameter checks at 8.00 pm for Shift A, discussing any issues before 9.00 pm with Shift A, after which Shift B Technician takes over. **Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills Required** - Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing / production operations, preferably in a managerial role. - Strong knowledge of quality standards and process specifications, ensuring product compliance. - Ability to manage production flow to meet on-time delivery and output targets. - Proven experience in optimizing manpower, processes, equipment, and facilities for cost efficiency. - Strong analytical skills for continuous improvement in safety, product quality, and work efficiency. - Proficiency in inventory analysis and effective supervision of delivery schedules. - Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with Warehouse, Inventory, and QC teams. **Authority** - Decision-making authority over all production activities. - Authorized to negotiate schedules and timelines with customers and suppliers as required. - Overall control of production schedules, manpower allocation, process flow, productivity, and quality assurance. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month **Benefits**: - Free parking - Maternity leave - Opportunities for promotion - Parental leave - Professional development Schedule: - Night shift - On call Supplemental Pay: - Overtime pay - Yearly bonus **Language**: - Malay, English, Bangladesh, Nepali, Chinese (preferred) Expected Start Date: 11/01/2024
