Associate Director, Operational Risk and Resilience

To provide support to the Operational Risk Management and Business Continuity Management teams in respect of managing operational and business continuity risk within the company. This includes:

- Regional oversight of the incident management framework ensuring operational adherence to policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) and resilience vulnerability assessments of operations, products, projects and services as required
- Support the annual Business Continuity and Operational Resilience testing program
- Support the development and implementation of GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) system
- Prepare regular, ad-hoc or special risk reports for the Company’s Risk Committee and Group / Board reporting as required
- Design and roll out training solutions embedding good Risk and BCP practice across the company.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Interpret, communicate and implement Risk Management and Business Continuity Management (BCM) policies and procedures
- Coordinate with operations to rectify operational errors, resolving the error at hand and tracking the implementation of appropriate protocols to mitigate the risk of reoccurrence.
- Serve as the regional operational risk and business continuity specialist, promoting risk culture around resilience, continuity and crisis management (including third-party risk management and information technology).
- Engage with business operations, support and IT departments in the ongoing determination and capture of critical business processes; critical business service / functions
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) and resilience vulnerability assessments of operations, products, projects and services as required, Management and closure of Action Items tracked
- Engage with all business operations to ensure robust business continuity plans are in place that are regularly reviewed, updated, and tested.
- Supports the regional Emergency Management Team (EMT) and Global Crisis Management Team (CMT) in the event of disaster situation.
- Manage the development and enhancement of the Risk department tools and methodologies, and standard operating procedures to support the Operational Resilience, Operational Risk Management and Business Continuity programs.
- Prepare regular, ad-hoc or special reporting for the company’s Risk Committee and Group / Board as well as parent company as required
- Work with the ORM and BCM teams to continuously assess and improve the control environment and reduce vulnerabilities
- Train staff on operational error reporting process and BCM, update training material
- Study new and emerging international requirements and regulations and assess / communicate their impact on the business

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, law, economics, business or a related discipline
- Professional qualification in risk or a related discipline would be preferred

Work Experience:

- At least 5 years’ experience working in or with Operational Risk and/or Business Continuity Management
- At least 2 years' experience working in the financial industry, preferably Fund Administration

Functional/Technical Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for risk management and BCP, as well as risk requirements and guidelines
- Working knowledge of Fund administration business
- Hands on knowledge of risk assessment techniques, business impact analysis, BCP planning and testing with strong cross-experience in financial services / fund services
- Comfortable working with complex datasets and familiar with power apps, modern data modelling apps and reporting tools.
- Project management skills and ability to analyze project progress and direct / redirect team efforts
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience of onboarding new systems / technology are preferred
