**As the Safety and Security Executive **you are responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety and security protocols and procedures to ensure the protection of personnel, assets, and facilities within an organization. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of safety and security regulations, risk assessment, emergency response planning, and the ability to foster a safety culture throughout the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Safety and Security Strategy**:Develop and execute a comprehensive safety and security strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and create proactive measures to mitigate them.
**Risk Assessment and Analysis**:Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and threats to the organization. Analyze data and trends to develop effective risk management strategies.
**Policy and Procedure Development**: Create and implement safety and security policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with relevant laws, industry standards, and best practices. Ensure these policies are communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
**Compliance and Regulations**:Keep abreast of local, regional, and national safety and security regulations, ensuring the organization's adherence to these standards. Collaborate with regulatory authorities as necessary.
**Emergency Response Planning**:Develop and maintain robust emergency response plans for various scenarios, including natural disasters, accidents, and security breaches. Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure personnel are adequately prepared.
**Incident Investigation and Reporting**: Lead investigations into safety and security incidents, accidents, and near misses. Generate comprehensive reports outlining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
**Vendor and Contractor Management**:Collaborate with procurement and other relevant departments to ensure safety and security standards are met by vendors and contractors working on-site.
**Training and Awareness**:Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of safety and security practices among employees. Foster a strong safety culture that encourages reporting of potential hazards and promotes safe behaviors.
**Technology and Systems**:Stay up-to-date with the latest safety and security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control, and alarms. Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies to enhance organizational safety.
**Crisis Management**: In the event of a crisis or emergency, act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, coordinate response efforts, and provide regular updates to management.
**Assist Department with ad hoc assignment and projects.**
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Experience in Luxury Hotel or Resort Environment.**:
- **Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as safety management, security management, risk management, or a related discipline.**:
- **Green Book Holder.**:
- **Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in safety and security management roles, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.**:
- In-depth knowledge of safety and security regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with employees, management, and external partners.
- Leadership and team management skills to lead safety initiatives and foster a safety-conscious culture.
- Certification in relevant areas such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using safety and security-related software and technologies
