Building & Safety Officer

**Summary**:
BloomThis is seeking a Building & Safety Officer to join our growing team. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a background in Building & Safety Management. A Building & Safety officer is needed to maintain and comply with all safety regulations and ensure that every member of staff complies with the regulated standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the company's adherence to the latest Building & Safety policy
- To prepare a monthly Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) performance management report
- Conduct Safety and Environment internal audit, workplace inspection, awareness briefing, training, and inductions programs to promote safety and health awareness
- Implement preventive measures to manage on pandemic Covid-19 cases and stay up to date with current guidelines and SOPs
- Outlining safe operational measures by identifying all the relevant hazards including natural disaster events
- Conduct incident investigations and recommendations on corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure schedule waste management in accordance with legal requirements
- Travel to other brancher for supervision and report accordingly
- Establish a friendly and professional relationship with employees and be able to liaise with all departments.
- Liaise closely with the HR Department on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety at the sites
- Oversee and lead the safety implementation of the Company’s safety systems at other branches of the company
- Monitor safety and health aspect of building and workers safe work practices
- Carry out risk assessment for all building projects and maintain a high level of safety
- Plan, administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations
- Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act (PHA)
- Investigate every incident/ accident and develop preventive measures
- Ensure you will need to perform and organize routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and ventilation systems maintenance, lift maintenance and perform backwash
- You will need to monitor the cleaners attendance and supervise them
- You will need to comply with all safety and health regulations
- You are required to keep inventory of maintenance and spare part supplies and equipment, and report needs to superior
- You will need to respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
- Make necessary announcement and update in company communication channel
- Sufficient knowledge of fire safety, life safety equipment and items
- Renewer fire exrtinguisher, cleaners, waste management, and other admin and building related contracts
- Renew building operating license
- Arrange Bomba training, prepare safety committee, and do audit.

**Key Requirements**:

- Experience in Third-Party Logistics (3PL) required
- Minimum of 2-year experience in this position or relevant field.
- Green Book Holder or successfully completed relevant examinations
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
- Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
- With driving license preferred
- Hands-on skills in facilities maintenance
- Hands-on experience in Preventive Maintenance, Routine and Breakdown Maintenance work
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa and English.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
- Good communication skills.

**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
