Communications Executive

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Project Manager and Senior Communications Coordinator for engagement with multiple project stakeholders across public and private sectors, media, NGOs, academia and research institutions, communities and other parties to establish strong working relationships.
- Support with the successful delivery of communication plan and stakeholder engagement plan in accordance with overarching stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Support day-to-day delivery of stakeholder engagement including research, drafting content for various communications materials such as informational and training materials, website, newsletters, social media campaigns, reports, recommendations and policy briefs, and support responding to stakeholder enquiries.
- Assist with arranging and attending stakeholder meetings, and ensure feedback of stakeholder responses and requests are responded to within agreed timelines.
- Assist with conducting workshops, roundtables and event logistics including developing agendas, project plans, minute-taking and production of reports.
- Support with coordination and collaborate with internal teams, local communities, state actors, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Attend and provide support for meetings, conferences, and public events, advocating for rainforest conservation.
- Respond to requests and assist on ad-hoc matters as the person in charge.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong understanding of social media strategy and management; experience in creative content development with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud apps (ie. short-form videos, infographics, posters) is a plus.
- Strong writing skills with experience in press material development, including speeches/talking points, interview briefs, articles, etc.
- Strong science communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, articulate team player.
- Ability to develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans tailored to working with diverse and marginalised groups.
- Ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, prepare responses/narrative quickly and clearly, and use personal initiative.
- Organised, attention to detail with good analytical and presentation skills.
- Effective relation building capability to maintain good relation with all departments and its staff, management, associates and funders.
- Self driven, motivated to problem solve independently with a willingness to learn new skills and take ownership of roles given.
- Broader project communications experience and skills desirable.
- Ability and willingness to attend and contribute on outdoor field trips, generally enjoy being in nature and experiencing the great outdoors.
