Key Objectives As a Scrum Master, the key objective is to manage sprints for development of new products. This includes leading sprint planning sessions, daily stand up meetings, demos and sprint retrospectives. Chubb has adopted Agile development approaches to software delivery and the Scrum Master will be expected to facilitate the evolution of the Scrum/Agile process within the scrum team(s) they work with. The role will be a part of the Scrum Master Community of Practice that enables sharing of best practices and identifying then implementing improvements to Agile ways of working in Chubb APAC IT. The Scrum Master may sometimes be required to act as a Project manager for Regional IT projects with teams distributed across APAC. Key Responsibilities - Agile Expertise - Coach team members on agile processes, help the organization mature its agile processes. - Produce and maintain status updates, velocity trackers, product backlogs, release plans, project plans etc. as required. - Lead daily stand ups, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives and demos as part of the sprint lifecycle. - Provided regular updates to broader stake holders on status of the sprint. - Deliver sprints to schedule. - Escalate issues and clear any blockers for the team promptly. - Deliver allocated projects/enhancements in line with Chubb frameworks, practices, and processes - Continuously improve our practices across the APAC region Skills & Experience Essential - Passionate about Agile and coaching people - Agile expert certified in one or more frameworks (SAFe preferred) - Degree qualified in I.T. or a related discipline - 10+ years’ IT delivery experience across various sized projects and programs - Full SDLC project delivery experience with a variety of methodologies i.e. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall - Experience with Agile tools and methodologies such as burn down charts. - Experience working with organizations that are transitioning to Agile processes, as well as organizations with mature Agile processes, preferred. - Ability to lead daily stand up meetings, including resolving roadblocks through mediation and escalation as required. - Scrum Master certification preferred. Can work in high pressure, demanding environments and deliver high quality results. - Experience running sprints with offshore developments teams preferred. - Experience with agile/project management software preferred. Preferred - Experience in the insurance industry preferred. Key Competencies Refer to the IT Competency Framework for details of competencies for the role.
