**Overview of the Role**
Rystad Energy is seeking a proven Key Account Manager with a strong track record of strategic account management and business development to manage, retain, and grow the firm’s key accounts in Malaysia. The Key Account Manager will report to Head of Sales - South-East and South Asia
**Key Responsibilities**
- Establish a vision of the relationship between Rystad Energy and our key Accounts in Malaysia
- Align each key Account's and Rystad Energy's strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic Account Plans that contribute to each Account’s business goals and maximize Account growth.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities within key Accounts to drive incremental revenue growth.
- Work closely with the Client Success Manager to service the key Accounts, acting as “One Account Team”.
- Work closely with other internal cross-functional teams - Marketing, Product, Research, Client Solutions - to drive engagement with key Accounts.
- Act as a trusted advisor, adopt a consultative approach to translate solutions to meaningful customer benefits.
- Build a network of multi-level and multi-functional relationships with senior executive and influential stakeholders to increase growth opportunities.
- Develop strong knowledge of key Accounts’ businesses.
- Use the CRM system to own and manage opportunity pipeline and Account Plans and collaborate with Client Success Manager on managing Engagement Plans in CRM
- Gather and communicate competitor information to influence future strategy.
- Share customer feedback about products and services with the rest of the company
- Monitor changes in customer needs and accurately diagnose performance gaps.
- Identify areas of risk and develop appropriate contingency plans to retain accounts.
- Swiftly manage and resolve issues with Accounts.
- Constantly promote the Rystad Energy brand and values externally in all interactions with Accounts
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Between 8 to 10 years of Key Account Management experience within the Energy industry
- Specifically, experience in selling subscription services in the market intelligence services sector within the Energy industry.
- Experience in account managing International Oil Companies (Majors) and National Oil Companies
- Proven track record of surpassing sales revenue growth targets through effective and efficient strategic account management
- Ability to engage with individuals across all levels within target organizations, including Senior Management/C-Suite
- Experience in internal stakeholder management - i.e., collaboration with cross-functional teams internally to drive prospect/client engagement externally.
- Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia
- Possess strategic vision and planning capabilities.
- Possess the ability to develop and deliver long-term sales strategies.
- Driven and tenacious
- Possess excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Possess the ability to build strong relationships (especially at executive level)
- Be a consultative problem solver.
- Be an excellent team player.
- Possess a strong knowledge of the energy sector.
- Be willing to travel to other Rystad Energy offices for training (Singapore, Oslo)
