We are seeking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (1 year contract) reporting to the Director Global Talent Acquisition, to be based in Bangsar South, KL. In this role, the successful Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with line managers to fill open role and work on pipelining against future need, both directly and with support. In addition, working with country P&C teams, the role will implement effective and efficient recruitment strategies to ensure that Cochlear attracts the best talent to deliver on our strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities;
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Effectively manage end to end recruitment activities in MY, from engaging with hiring managers through to salary proposal and the offer and reference processes;
- Maintain recruitment administration in MY, including ensuring recruitment activity is recorded in an accurate and timely manner within the applicant tracking system;
- Ensure job files are complete (in accordance with internal policies and local legislation);
- In collaboration with the Director Global Talent Acquisition, understand and leverage Cochlear’s “key roles” and succession plan strategies;
- Provide appropriate feedback throughout the interview and selection process to advise and influence hiring managers, ensuring an overall effective hire;
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships internally with hiring managers, MY People & Culture team, Corporate Talent Acquisition team, Compensation Specialists, and other members of the Global People & Culture team;
- Analyse current and future market trends, with an understanding of (the company) and the medical devices industry, in order to develop effective talent acquisition strategies
- Identify and build relationships with key retained and contingency search firms, as well as relevant professional industry groups and associations;
- Ensuring clarity of expectations for team members.
- Providing feedback and coaching for growth and success to build individual and team capability.
Key Requirements;
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in any field
- At least 5 years of working experience in recruiting in a corporate recruiting role; or in an agency/search firm role
- Experience recruiting for MNC R&D and Engineering will have an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability manage complex, time-dependent deliverables and work within a fast-paced environment whilst balancing competing interests.
- Experience in preparing salary proposal and provide strong justification to Executive Business Partners is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, organisational, presentation, collaboration, follow-up, and negotiating skills is a MUST for this role.
