Business Intelligence Analyst

**Job Scope**
Lead and manage Business Intelligence team, providing guidance, mentorship and support in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing business performance through effective management of Business Intelligence processes, tools, and strategies.

**Responsibilities**

1. Strategy Development:
Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance and inform strategic decision-making.

2. Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of BI analysts, data engineers, and data scientists.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure the team's effectiveness and professional growth.

3. Data Governance:
Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across the organization. Define data standards, quality metrics, and data stewardship roles.

4. Data Integration and Management:
Oversee the integration, cleansing, and transformation of data from multiple sources to create a single, unified view of the organization's data assets. Ensure data integrity, completeness, and reliability.

5. Business Analytics:
Drive the development and delivery of actionable insights and data visualizations to support decision-making at all levels of the rganization. Use advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling, data mining, and machine learning to uncover valuable insights from data.

6. BI Tool Management:
Evaluate, select, and implement BI tools and technologies that meet the organization's requirements and support its BI strategy. Ensure effective utilization of BI platforms, dashboards, and reporting tools.

7. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions, dashboards, and reports to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information to end-users. Identify opportunities for performance improvement and scalability.

8. Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with business leaders, department heads, and other stakeholders to understand their BI needs, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals. Act as a trusted advisor on Business Intelligence matters.

9. Change Management:
Lead change management initiatives to promote a data-driven culture within the organization. Provide training and support to enable users to leverage BI tools and insights effectively.

10. Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with BI vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery, adherence to SLAs, and cost optimization.

11. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations, security standards, and industry best practices in BI initiatives and data management processes.

12. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement, tool enhancement, and innovation in BI practices. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the BI space and assess their potential impact on the organization.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Several years of experience in mid-level management roles within the BI or analytics domain. Demonstrated success in leading a BI team.

3. A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields. This experience should include hands-on involvement in BI projects, data analysis, reporting, and data visualization.

4. Experience leading teams, managing projects, and driving strategic initiatives within the BI or analytics space.

5. Strong technical background in BI tools, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modelling.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

7. Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower team members. Experience in team building, coaching, and talent development.

8. Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to align BI initiatives with business objectives and drive value creation through data-driven insights.

9. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.

10. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in BI tools and technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or MicroStrategy. Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modelling concepts.

11. Data Governance: Understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements related to data management.

12. Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
