Pastry Trainee

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic **Pastry Trainee/Helper** to join our culinary team. This entry-level role is ideal for **fresh graduates** or individuals with a strong interest in baking and pastry arts. The trainee will assist in daily kitchen operations, learn pastry techniques, and support the team in preparing high-quality desserts, breads, and baked goods.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist pastry chefs in the preparation, baking, and presentation of desserts, pastries, and breads.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately according to recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management (stocking, labeling, storing ingredients).
- Support with plating and garnishing of pastry items for service.
- Adhere to hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
- Learn and practice pastry techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef or Supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Fresh graduate or recent completion of a culinary/pastry arts program.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and kitchen safety standards (training will be provided).
- Passion for pastry arts and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts as required.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
