Test Lead - Non-Functional Testing (Kuala Lumpur or Bengaluru)
In this technically senior role, you’ll lead non-functional testing efforts across F-Secure’s consumer products—including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms. While this role carries no line management responsibilities, your influence will shape how performance, security, and reliability testing are approached across multiple cross-functional teams and projects.
You’ll work closely with QA Engineers, Developers, DevOps specialists, and Product Managers to design, implement, and scale best practices for non-functional testing in a CI/CD-driven environment. Your contributions directly support F-Secure’s strategic goal of delivering tailored, resilient software experiences to our global network of strategic partners.
**What you will do in this role**:
This is a high-impact role—your work enables our solutions to operate flawlessly under pressure, across varied environments, and at scale. You will:
Design and lead non-functional testing strategies across platforms
Develop test plans for performance, security, and reliability
Define benchmarks, SLAs, and testing standards that scale across mobile and desktop ecosystems
Integrate automation and tooling into CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate globally with engineering and QA teams across Finland, Malaysia, India, and Slovakia
Act as a mentor and technical guide for test engineers, embedding non-functional quality as a core principle in our development culture
What are we looking for?
Experience designing and executing non-functional testing strategies across complex software environments
Deep knowledge of testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Appium, Firebase Test Lab, XCUITest, UI Automator
Familiarity with security testing concepts, including OWASP, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and tooling integration
Experience working with CI/CD systems and integrating non-functional tests into build pipelines
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead through influence, not authority
A collaborative mindset—you enjoy working with teams across time zones and disciplines
**Bonus points for**:
Understanding of resource profiling (CPU, battery, memory, network) in constrained environments
Interest in AI/ML-enabled testing, recovery testing, or reliability engineering
Past success driving test excellence across globally distributed QA teams
