Responsibilities:
**1. Developing and Implementing Safety Policies**:

- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of safety policies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

**2. Safety Inspections and Audits**:

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites, equipment, and work practices to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Document findings, report violations, and recommend corrective actions to management.

**3. Training and Education**:

- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees on topics such as hazard identification, proper equipment usage, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Provide ongoing safety education and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety among employees.

**4. Incident Investigation and Reporting**:

- Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and near misses and report them to management and regulatory agencies as required.

**5. Safety Equipment and PPE Management**:

- Ensure that appropriate safety equipment and personal protective gear are provided to workers and are used correctly.
- Regularly inspect and maintain safety equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.

**6. Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay current with all applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards related to the construction industry.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and other relevant regulatory agencies.

**7*. **Emergency Preparedness:*
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and communication plans.
- Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures and train employees on proper response protocols.

**8. Safety Committee Participation**:

- Participate in safety committees and meetings to discuss safety issues, review incidents, and develop strategies for improving safety performance.
- Collaborate with management and employees to address safety concerns and implement solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, ASP) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Safety Health Officer in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field is additional.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
