Mandarin Interpreter

**Job description: NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED WE WILL TRAIN YOU**

**Responsibilities**:

- Answer calls in a professional manner.
- Customer service Skills.
- Be always prepared to take notes during a call.
- Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
- Participate in a in-house professional training.
- Communicate and report to your team leader.
- Provide accurate and impartial interpretation services during medical consultations, medical terminology, procedures, instructions, information between Mandarin -speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals and other healthcare interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions
- Participate in workshops and coaching opportunities to enhance your interpreting skills

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language (Mandarin).
- Speak Mandarin as your mother or main language
- Speak English in a C1 or higher level.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Strong emotional intelligence and a deep respect for diverse cultures.
- High level of communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to interpret between the two languages seamlessly.
- Strong ethical principles and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Taking a Language, Terminology testing **(This is done after the training)**:

- background check is required.

**Requirements**:Since this position is fully remote, you should comply with several technical requirements for your computer. We need to ensure that your home office will work effectively.
- Must Live in the United States
- Have a legal working permit or status to work in the US.
- Serious commitment
- Must have flexible availability for calls.
- Ethernet connection (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 10Mbps Download/Upload. Make sure you comply by running a simple test at speedtest.net **(A technical verification with our tech support team will be taken)**:

- Your computer or laptop should be Mac or any other model with MacOS 10.13 or Windows 10 or newer, with Minimum: I3 processor. Recommended: i5 / i7 2.4 GHz and above.
- Your working machine should have a 4 GB RAM Minimum (8GB recommended).
- We require noise-cancelling wired USB Headsets.
