**Overview of the Role**:
The Product Innovation Intern will support the end-to-end process of developing new and optimizing existing food and beverage products for AirAsia's in-flight services and Santan Cafes across all operating countries. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn about market trends, product commercialization, operational feasibility, and food safety within a fast-paced aviation and F&B retail environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Product Development Support**:

- Assist in all aspects of product development, from initial concept generation to final product commercialization, for both AirAsia In-flight and Santan Cafe.
- Support the planning and execution of the product development calendar based on company goals, sales analysis, marketing strategies, customer trends, and feedback.
- **Testing & Evaluation**:

- Conduct on-board and/or on-ground testing for new products.
- Carry out periodic evaluation sessions for existing products to ensure consistent quality and taste.
- Coordinate sampling events, document results, and review product performance data.
- **Commercialization & Launch Assistance**:

- Assist AirAsia In-flight, Santan Cafe, and other relevant departments in finalizing new products, including coordinating photo shoots, food styling, and writing/proofreading menu descriptions.
- Work closely with other departments to support the successful launch of new products.
- Assist in briefing and training Flight Attendants / Operations Teams on new product offerings.
- **Quality & Compliance Support**:

- Support the establishment of Food Safety and Quality requirements for new product specifications.
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance (QA) Team to ensure proper assessment and compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring products are safe for live launch.
- Support relevant quality assurance responsibilities as required.

**Requirements**:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or bachelor's degree in **Food Science/Technology, Culinary Arts/Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration** (with a focus on product development or marketing), or a related field.
- Strong **organizational and time management skills** with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent **communication skills**, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A genuine **passion for the food and beverage industry** and an interest in product innovation.
- Any prior experience in a kitchen, food service, or retail environment is a plus.

**Job Type**: Internship

Pay: RM1,000.00 per month
