- Job Summary
- Provide regulatory compliance advice and support to Global Markets of Hong Leong Bank Berhad and Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad.
- To drive GM’s compliance with Group Compliance framework, initiatives and activities in line with Group’s strategic direction, regulatory and global standards.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the business on all compliance matters (including AML/CFT) in relation to Global Markets, in consultation with Group Compliance
- Key Responsibilities- Provide legal and regulatory compliance (including AML/CFT) advice/support to Global Markets.
- Keep abreast, maintain and review new/changes to laws, procedures and regulations. Ensuring Global Markets are compliant with new regulatory requirements.
- Review and ensure completion of compliance self-assessments, impact assessment and analysis on new/revised regulations by Global Markets.
- Carry out investigations and manage breach reporting process for relevant regulatory breaches and coordinate the preparation for any escalation of breaches or non-compliance incidents
- Assist to ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting by Global Markets and escalation of Compliance issues or incidences to Group Compliance.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the business on all compliance matters (including AML/CFT) in relation to Global Markets, in consultation with Group Compliance
- Work closely with Group Compliance to ensure all relevant legal and regulatory requirements are fully embedded in business policies, procedures and processes.
- Act as the liaison and assist with the coordination of BNM CRR and any regulatory information requests, including meetings and audits.
- Facilitate and consolidate responses on consultation papers or exposure drafts at regulators’ request.
- Responsible for the drafting and negotiation of Master Agreements and related collateral agreements for trade treasury products with Global Markets.
- Draft, review and negotiate agreements, terms and conditions, documents, Term Sheets, Product Highlight Sheets and Product Disclosure Sheets required for Global Markets.
- Provide legal & regulatory compliance training.
