SAP Mdm Consultant

Leads all aspects of the implementation of a greenfield project for establishing a multi-domain regional (ASEAN) Master & Reference Data Management (MDM) Hub
- Develops functional and technical specifications detailing input and output functions, business processing rules, technical validations, system controls and roles involved
- Collaborates with all parties involved, internal and external, throughout the implementation project lifecycle towards successful deployment
- Takes the lead in ensuring that all deliverables and issues related to master and reference data entities are addressed in timely, effective manner
- Able to independently guide the MDM implementation and steer the project to the finish line
- Periodic assessments of deliverables against business objectives to ensure the implementation is tracking in the right direction
- Onboards the data governance roles including owners, stewards and custodians onto the MDM framework and facilitates their engagement on it
- Works in close concert with Regional Change Management to influence adoption of the framework and platform
- Recommends industry best practices in MDM implementation styles where appropriate and in context of NS BlueScope’s Global and ASEAN data strategy and vision
- Functions as a trusted advisor to the internal users of ASEAN master data in addressing their operational needs and queries
- Determines budgetary parameters including establishing time and cost estimates working closely with the Digital Program Management team
- Mentors and coaches other supporting team members in servicing master data needs of the user community
- Liaises closely with the Data & Analytics team and Technology Support functions to always ensure best MDM outcomes for the end user community
- Keeps the relevant leadership informed on any critical master data related issues and ensures timely remediation
- Leverages on his/her commercial awareness to review feasibility and impact of implementing MDM platform related functionality and features
- Defines standard operating procedures in line with MDM best practices and NS BlueScope’s ASEAN data governance principles
- Participates and contributes to data architecture related discussions in evolving the organization’s data platforms landscape
- Periodically audits the functioning of the MDM platform and suggests improvements or remediations required
- Facilitates training sessions and drives adoption of the new MDM framework

**Responsibilities**:

- **Proven track record in implementing and managing enterprise data management platforms with minimum 10 years overall experience and at least 5 years in managing master/reference data entities**:

- Experienced in leading end-to-end delivery of digitization projects based on Agile methodology
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks based on evolving needs of the business while also ensuring alignment with the project objectives and regional data strategy
- Possesses an advisory, consultative style of working in guiding and supporting the needs of a diverse end user community across ASEAN countries
- Able to articulate the transformational value of a robust master data management program and champions the need for it as required
- Adept at building and maintaining working relationships with the business and key users of the platform
- Able to have difficult conversations where required to ensure data principles and standards are adhered to in line with regional data governance strategy
- Good understanding of enterprise systems landscape and flows (ERP, BI, Reporting etc.) and familiarity with Azure data architecture
- **University degree (or higher) holder preferably in information systems, computer science, data analytics, business administration or any other related fields**

Pay: RM5,181.96 - RM10,000.00 per month
